The Adult Fellowship is made up of parishioners who come together to develop friendships, host social events and support outreach ministries. The Fellowship meets once a month to monitor ongoing programs and plan future projects. The monthly meeting also includes a discussion on a select book or reading. Right now we're reading articles and documents related to the Churches opposition to capital punishment and statements on social justice. Our parish ‘Book and Gift' store is a project of the Adult Fellowship. It offers a wide range of Christian books for children and adults.
The Adult Fellowship sponsors several parish dinners each year as a means of bringing our community together to enjoy fellowship over a good meal. The Fellowship also sponsors and volunteer at several booths during our annual parish bazaar. They host cooking and baking days regularly to offer Middle Eastern treats to the community. The Fellowship also hosts several social events including a Christmas party and attending theater productions.
The Adult Fellowship sponsors two children in Lebanon through the Archdiocese ‘Children's Relief Fund'. They support an indigenous priest in Africa through the ‘Support a Mission Priest Program' of the Orthodox Christian Mission Center. Each year the Adult Fellowship prepares school bags and health kits to be distributed through the International Orthodox Christian Charities. They also sponsor a Christmas gift drive for the boys at the St. Innocent Orphanage in Mexico.
Currently, the Fellowship is supporting a campaign to send hygiene kits to Haiti. More information can be found here.
