Jason Roberts Challenger Baseball League - Fall Luncheon, September 2009

On Saturday, September 12, our church hosted the Jason Roberts Challenger Baseball League, a baseball league for disabled children in the Boston area, for their annual fall banquet. Teen SOYO was given the task of catering the banquet: set-up, preparing & serving the food, and clean-up. Under the guidance of Chef Douglas, we had 17 of our Teens volunteer their time all-day for this worthy cause. Teens present were: Michael Choueiri, Megan Doherty, Sean Doherty, George Elias, Randah Rachmani, Gizelle Hourani, Kamal Hourani, Michelle Hourani, Sally Lakis, Peter Makhlouf, Sally Mansour, Julia Metri, Sammy Nassif, Sarah Nassif, Carolyn Saba, Stephanie Saba, and John Srour. We hosted over 150 people at the banquet which included over 50 disabled athletes and their families. Thank you also to Tony Bashir, Nabil Hourani, and Marie Nassif for their assistance in the kitchen.
