BE AWARE! Email Phishing Scam Using Fr. Timothy's Name

Please be aware of an email phishing scam that is targeting churches around the country, and has recently targeted our community. The scammer uses the formal title for our pastor (Rev. Protosyngellos Timothy) from a fake gmail address (something like rev.stgeorgeofboston@gmail.com), and tries to make contact with parishioners eventually asking them to send money in some format (usually gift cards). The emails might look something like this:

Please mark the message as SPAM and ignore the email. Do not click on links in the email or respond to it. If you receive an email message from Fr. Timothy or the Church Office, and you are not sure if the message is real or not, please contact the Church Office at 617-323-0323.
